Progression of Weezy Pt. 1

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. - 10 years in and still going.

WATCH: "Fireman" and "Go DJ"

Remember back in 2008?

You couldn't walk out onto any block without hearing 'A Milli' booming out a whip's speakers.
Wouldn't be surprised if your grandma bumps his tracks from time to time.

Wayne has made such a significant impact in Hip-Hop that hundreds of artists who come after will take parts of his lyricism and flow, and integrate it into their own.

i.e. Drake, Childish Gambino

1997-1999 Hot Boyz (15 years old)

WATCH: "We On Fire" and "Everything"

It's interesting to view his video timeline or listen to his previous mixtapes.
I can't comment on whether or not I think it's gotten better or worse - too subjective.
Personally, I like his earlier work because it seemed more authentic and raw, and gave me the more realer side to him.

Again, "real" is another subjective word.

I gotta say though, PROM QUEEN? Really? PrOm QuEeEeN? *BARF*

"Welcome to the Dedication 3" *sigh of relief*

WATCH: "Get Something" and "Shooter" ft Robin Thicke

He's covered basically all bases.

All he needs is a collaboration with Wu-Tang, OFWGKTA...
May as well make a track with Adele?!

Rap Is Universal

Ever wonder how rap sounds in other languages?

Jamaican...

...Japanese

Spanish!

You laughing? Me too.

Kendrick Lamar Cracks Eggs In Baskets

When I first heard "Rigamortis" my initial reaction was something "Chris Tucker-esque" -
picture Chris Tucker in Rush Hour spotting a chick walking down a street.

"DAAYAM".

The horns cement this beat in my ear drums. It's too entertaining.

It's his DELIVERY that stands out.
Flow transitions from chill to SPORADIC 2:00 Minutes in.

"Got me breathing with dragons
I'll crack the egg in your basket
You bastard, I'm Marilyn Manson
Don't ask who your favorite rapper..."
